Shipping Policy
How refrigerant gets from our dock to your shop: carriers, timing, hazmat rules and where we cannot deliver.
Compressed refrigerant is a DOT-regulated hazardous material. That single fact shapes everything below — the carrier, the packaging, the transit time and the places we simply cannot ship to.
Shipping is free on every cylinder within the contiguous United States. There is no minimum order and no hazmat surcharge added at checkout.
1. Processing time
Orders are held for EPA certification review before dispatch. Once verified, orders placed before 2:00 PM CST on a business day leave our Fort Worth, TX facility the same day. Everything else goes the next business day.
Verification is usually under two hours during business hours. First-time buyers who have not yet supplied a certification document are the main cause of delay — send it with your order and it will not hold you up.
We do not dispatch on weekends or US federal holidays.

Transit times are business days after carrier pickup, and they are estimates. Weather, hazmat routing, terminal holds and address restrictions can add a day. Tracking is emailed as soon as the carton is scanned.
3. Where we cannot ship
- PO boxes and APO/FPO/DPO addresses — carriers do not accept hazardous materials to these.
- Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US territories — no ground hazmat service. Contact us about freight forwarding.
- International destinations — we sell within the United States only.
- Some residential addresses — where the carrier restricts hazmat delivery in that area. We will contact you with alternatives.
A commercial address with someone available to receive and sign is always the fastest option.
4. Packaging and documentation
Every cylinder ships in a UN-rated carton with the valve cap fitted, secured upright with dunnage so it cannot move. The carton carries the correct hazard class labelling and the shipping paper is completed under 49 CFR by trained staff.
Inside the box you will find the current safety data sheet and, on reclaimed product, the AHRI 700 batch analysis certificate.
Multi-cylinder orders may ship in separate cartons, may leave on different days, and may carry different tracking numbers. That is normal and not a sign anything went wrong.
5. Delivery and signature
A signature is required on hazmat shipments. If nobody is available the carrier will attempt redelivery, usually twice, then hold at a local terminal for collection.
Inspect the carton before you sign. If it is crushed, wet, or the contents rattle, note it on the carrier record or refuse the delivery outright — that keeps the claim straightforward for both of us.
6. Lost, delayed or damaged shipments
Report visible damage within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the carton, cylinder, valve and label. We replace or refund.
If tracking shows delivered but nothing has arrived, check the delivery photo, loading dock, receiving desk, garage and neighbouring units first. If it is still missing 24 hours later, contact us — carrier traces must be opened within 14 days of the delivery scan.
Where a shipment is genuinely lost in transit we replace it at our cost and take up the claim with the carrier ourselves. You are not asked to chase it.
7. Address changes
Tell us within 30 minutes of ordering and we can usually change the address free. After dispatch, carrier intercepts on a hazmat shipment are limited and may carry a fee. Incorrect addresses supplied at checkout that cause a return-to-sender are refunded less actual return shipping.
