Before you order
R-454B is the primary R-410A successor adopted across the US market under the AIM Act HFC phasedown. It is not a retrofit for existing R-410A equipment.
A2L service requires flammable-rated recovery machines, gauges and leak detection, plus ventilation and ignition-source control at the work area.
Safe handling
- Verify the equipment nameplate specifies R-454B and note the approved charge before connecting.
- This system requires POE (polyol ester). Mixing incompatible lubricants causes compressor failure.
- Charge in the liquid phase only — vapour charging shifts the composition of a blend.
- A2L classified: use flammable-rated recovery, gauges, vacuum pump and leak detection, with ventilation and ignition-source control.
- Store upright and secured, in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from heat, sparks and open flame.
- Recover refrigerant — knowingly venting is a violation of Clean Air Act Section 608.

Free FedEx Ground on every cylinder within the contiguous United States, typically 2–5 business days after pickup. Ground service only — compressed refrigerant does not travel by air. We cannot deliver to PO boxes, APO/FPO addresses, Alaska, Hawaii or US territories. A signature is required.
