Compatible applications

  • R-22 retrofits — Approved conversions where the manufacturer publishes a procedure.
  • Air conditioning — Comfort cooling equipment originally designed for R-407C.
  • Medium-temp refrigeration — Coolers and process systems in the medium-temperature band.

Before you order

R-407C has roughly 13 °F of temperature glide. Take superheat and subcooling from a pressure-temperature chart that lists dew and bubble points separately, or your readings will be wrong.

Retrofitting from R-22 requires an oil change to POE. Mineral oil will not circulate reliably with this blend.

Safe handling

  • Verify the equipment nameplate specifies R-407C and note the approved charge before connecting.
  • This system requires POE (polyol ester). Mixing incompatible lubricants causes compressor failure.
  • Charge in the liquid phase only — vapour charging shifts the composition of a blend.
  • Use gauges, hoses and recovery equipment rated for this refrigerant’s operating pressures.
  • Store upright and secured, in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from heat, sparks and open flame.
  • Recover refrigerant — knowingly venting is a violation of Clean Air Act Section 608.

Shipping

Free FedEx Ground on every cylinder within the contiguous United States, typically 2–5 business days after pickup. Ground service only — compressed refrigerant does not travel by air. We cannot deliver to PO boxes, APO/FPO addresses, Alaska, Hawaii or US territories. A signature is required.

Professional service use only. High-glide zeotropic blend. Charge liquid only and use dew/bubble point P-T data. EPA Section 608 certification is verified before this order is dispatched.

Refrigerants are sold for professional service use only. Purchases of HFC and HCFC refrigerant for stationary equipment require EPA Section 608 technician certification or a qualifying exemption; motor-vehicle air-conditioning refrigerant requires Section 609 certification. RefrigiMart verifies credentials before shipment. Always follow the equipment nameplate, the safety data sheet and all federal, state and local requirements. Product specifications are published reference values and do not replace the manufacturer's documentation.
