  • Older commercial units — Rooftop and packaged equipment awaiting capital replacement.
  • Medium-temp refrigeration — Older coolers and process cooling built for R-22.

Before you order

Production and import of virgin R-22 ended in the United States on 1 January 2020. Everything now sold lawfully is recovered, reclaimed and re-certified — including this cylinder.

Each batch is processed by a certified reclaimer to AHRI 700 purity. The analysis certificate ships with the cylinder and is retained on your account.

Safe handling

  • Verify the equipment nameplate specifies R-22 and note the approved charge before connecting.
  • This system requires Mineral oil or alkylbenzene. Mixing incompatible lubricants causes compressor failure.
  • As a pure compound this refrigerant will not fractionate, so vapour top-up is acceptable.
  • Use gauges, hoses and recovery equipment rated for this refrigerant’s operating pressures.
  • Store upright and secured, in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from heat, sparks and open flame.
  • Recover refrigerant — knowingly venting is a violation of Clean Air Act Section 608.

Shipping

Free FedEx Ground on every cylinder within the contiguous United States, typically 2–5 business days after pickup. Ground service only — compressed refrigerant does not travel by air. We cannot deliver to PO boxes, APO/FPO addresses, Alaska, Hawaii or US territories. A signature is required.

Professional service use only. Reclaimed product under EPA Section 608. Certification is verified on every order without exception. EPA Section 608 certification is verified before this order is dispatched.

Refrigerants are sold for professional service use only. Purchases of HFC and HCFC refrigerant for stationary equipment require EPA Section 608 technician certification or a qualifying exemption; motor-vehicle air-conditioning refrigerant requires Section 609 certification.
